Introduction

In April Cappagh Browne officially launched AMP8 with a series of events across Kent, Sussex, and Hampshire — setting the tone for what promises to be our most ambitious programme to date.

These events brought together site teams, managers, support staff and leadership to align on our shared goals for the new AMP cycle. From safety briefings and digital demonstrations to customer care workshops and equipment showcases, each session reinforced our core message: AMP8 is about delivering smarter, safer, and more sustainably — together.

We also used the launches to spotlight key initiatives, including our “Stop Work Authority” campaign, expanded welfare provisions, and the rollout of digital tools via BigChange. Teams engaged in practical SLAM exercises, reviewed case studies from past successes, and contributed valuable feedback on what support they need to thrive in the years ahead. More than just a kickoff, these events were a powerful reminder of our people-first culture and our commitment to raising standards — on site, in the community, and for the environment.

The events gave our teams the chance to explore some of the latest kit we’ve invested in—including state-of-the-art JSP Safety respiratory protection hoods. The PPE features a full face mask and powered respirator that delivers filtered air to our engineers and can be used comfortably with beards or prescription glasses. Seeing the equipment in action and hearing direct feedback from the people who’ll be using it every day was a real highlight.

Thank you to everyone who took part. With AMP8 now fully underway, let’s build on this momentum and set the standard for civils delivery in the water industry.
